Cardiac sonographer Doug Wuebben shares a case that changed his perspective and reminded him to treat every patient like family, no matter what else is going on in his life -- it just may save a life. In his examination of a 47-year-old patient, Wuebben noted signs of pulmonary embolus and reached out directly to the cardiologist with his suspicions. During the PE workup, the patient coded twice, and Wuebben was later congratulated by the physician for his life-saving instinct.
