The National Institutes of Environmental Health Sciences has awarded a $70 million contract to the Southern Research Institute to study the impact exposure to chemicals has on early life. "There is a growing need to look not just at the impact of chemical exposure on adult health, but also to specifically understand what impact they may have on the male and female reproductive systems and future generations of the species," said Developmental and Reproductive Toxicology program leader Eve Mylchreest.
