As part of national Disability Mentoring Day, some students with disabilities from Tallahassee, Fla., schools went out into the community to learn about careers in medicine, law enforcement and other occupations. "It gives the employer a great experience of working with somebody with a disability, and it gives the student an exposure early on to a career they might not have known existed," said Carrie Milhous, assistant director of Ability1st.
