Crohn's disease patients who took nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs at least five times per month were more likely to experience disease flares than non-NSAID users or those who used them less often. The risk was much higher in Crohn's patients who also used acetaminophen. A similar link was not found in people with ulcerative colitis, researchers reported at the ACG Annual Scientific Meeting.
