The National Retail Federation predicts Americans will spend $330 million on pet Halloween costumes this year, and owners aren't stopping there. They are buying Halloween pet treats and toys, too. The holiday can be truly scary for pets and owners, though, as pets are at risk of chocolate toxicity, escape through the constantly opening front door, foreign body ingestion (think cats and strings from costumes and decor) and anxiety from the steady stream of visitors.
