Verizon Communications has secured a broad array of rights to Turner Broadcasting System cable programming under what the companies described Wednesday as a "comprehensive long-term distribution agreement" with Verizon's FiOS TV and broadband services. The deal, which covers such networks as TNT, TBS, CNN and Cartoon Network, provides Verizon with the rights to those shows on a variety of platforms beyond traditional pay-TV. Subscribers who log on with FiOS accounts will have access to Turner networks live and on-demand over computers, smartphones, tablets and other devices inside and out of the home.
