Women experience a sharp loss in facial-tissue volume the age of 30 to 60 before the rate levels off, while men experience a more gradual decline, dermatologic surgeon Ashley Wysong reported at the ASDS Annual Meeting. Based on analyses of 2,037 MRIs, men gradually lose soft tissue in the infraorbital, temporal and medial/lateral cheek areas, Wysong said. The findings should help dermatologists doing soft-tissue rejuvenation in men's faces.
