President Barack Obama nominated Janet Yellen as Federal Reserve Board chief Wednesday. If confirmed, she would become the first woman to hold the position. Yellen is expected to take a more hands-on approach to bank regulation than some of her recent predecessors. Analysts generally expect the Senate to confirm Yellen, although Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., a member of the Senate banking committee, says he is not convinced Yellen is the right person for the job.
