Last week's House Energy & Commerce Committee hearing on the Senate's Chemical Safety Improvement Act "was another important development in moving TSCA reform forward," ACC President Cal Dooley said Wednesday on E&ETV. The hearing is evidence of broad, bipartisan support for comprehensive reform of the Toxic Substances Control Act, Dooley stated. He also noted that the industry acknowledges "legitimate concerns on further clarification of vulnerable populations" but believes that any outstanding issues can be addressed so that the bipartisan legislation can be moved forward.
