The Chemical Safety Improvement Act would strengthen current chemical regulations by allowing more data on chemicals and EPA safety assessments to be made available to the public while respecting legitimate confidential business information, according to the American Cleaning Institute. ACI President and CEO Ernie Rosenberg testified before a House subcommittee examining the impact of CSIA, which would update the 37-year-old Toxic Substances Control Act, the nation's main chemical-control law.
