Toni Theisen, veteran French teacher and president of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, recently visited Orlando, Fla., to attend ACTFL's annual convention and World Languages Expo, where she shared a former student's success story and highlighted a book of French poetry penned by her students. "What we want to do is create learning experiences for kids that are meaningful, purposeful and engaging, right?" she said, adding, "Well, we've got to attach them to the world."
