Canadian dairy cooperative Agropur has purchased the family-run cheese maker Fromagerie Damafro for an undisclosed price. Damafro, which will operate under Agropur's fine cheese and ingredients division, produces fresh milk cheeses and Greek-style yogurts. "This acquisition strengthens Agropur's leading position in the production and marketing of fine cheese in Canada," Agropur CEO Robert Coallier said.
