Seeking to shed $1.3 billion worth of assets by 2015, Alcatel-Lucent will make another attempt to sell its enterprise network division, according to this Reuters report, which says the telecom gear-maker has hired the Lazard investment bank to shop the unit. The effort, part of new CEO Michel Combes' turnaround strategy, marks the second time in recent years that Alcatel has tried to sell its enterprise communications and switching gear division. A 2011 attempt failed to find a viable buyer.
