Google is making major improvements to Android's camera base as part of a software update in the hardware abstraction layer that will enable developers to tap into two new photography features -- raw image formats and burst mode. "Instead of taking a single shot with a given set of parameters, you instead have the power to queue up a request to take multiple shots each with different parameter settings such as exposure gain," Google's Gina Scigliano said.
