Arizona's Superintendent of Public Instruction John Huppenthal is warning educators to expect a dramatic decrease in standardized test scores when the state shifts from its current exams to those aligned with the Common Core State Standards. The prediction comes following results from using the ACT College Readiness Benchmarks as a barometer. "The results are consistent with what we are seeing in states like New York," said Joe O'Reilly, director of student achievement for Mesa Public Schools.
