The U.K. needs to make use of its natural gas reserves, just as the U.S. did, to stabilize energy prices and the economy, said Chris Faulkner, CEO of Breitling Energy. "Shale gas is a massive gift to the U.K. It would be foolish to allow these new 'anti-fracking' regulations to step us back five years in the process of shale gas exploration and production that could be a huge windfall for the U.K.," he said. Faulkner will speak Thursday at a conference of U.K. oil and gas industry leaders in London.
