Cheniere Energy has received an offer from Bechtel to build its planned $12 billion liquefied natural gas export facility in Corpus Christi, Texas, the company said in a regulatory filing on Nov. 8. With this development, Cheniere said it can now begin seeking potential clients from abroad to buy LNG from Texas after determining the project's total cost. "This allows them to start to market that facility. Now that they know how much it's going to cost to build the whole thing, they know what to charge to get a decent return," said Morningstar analyst Connie Hsu.
