Cisco Systems says it's investing in Wilocity, a multi-gigabit-wireless chipmaker, in an effort to drive stronger enterprise adoption of 802.11ad Wi-Fi. Cisco said the partnership will lead to video and collaboration services and boost wireless performance and capacity. Separately, the network-gear-maker now completely owns its data-center startup, Insieme, which is debuting software-defined-networking products.
