In the latest sign of an economy that's coming back, 96% of U.S. companies plan to throw holiday parties this year, up from a 74% post-recession low two years ago, according to a survey from Battalia Winston. Festivities are on the rise at restaurants and other venues, but most bosses say they plan to either stick to last year's party budget or spend less, and more are opting for less-pricey lunch parties instead of evening soirees.
