The application of an additional 2-inch layer of latex-modified concrete to repair cracks at the Silver Spring Transit Center in Maryland will have to wait until spring due to cold temperatures, according to David Dise, director for Montgomery County's General Services. The delay once again pushes back completion of the $120 million transit hub that was to have become operational in 2011. The new opening is now scheduled for spring.
