With feature phones still a major player the mobile market in Latin America, more than one-quarter of mobile ads served there during the third quarter appeared on the devices, compared with 14% worldwide, according to StartMeApp's AdSMART Quarterly Report Q3 2013. However, eMarketer expects smartphone use to grow more than 43%, and StartMeApp predicts that feature phones will continue losing ground among mobile advertisers in the region.
