Halloween sales are projected to reach $2.3 billion this year, up 1% from last year, according to the NCA. Halloween brings in the most sales for candy manufacturers, and with Easter, Christmas and Valentine's Day, account for up to 35% of all candy sales. "We agree you shouldn't have too much sugar in your diet, but this is one time a year and we don't think this has an impact on people's diets," said NCA president Larry Graham.
