Several Honolulu hotels have boosted their culinary offerings. Starwood's Sheraton Waikiki, Royal Hawaiian and Moana Surfrider properties renovated their culinary programs as part of a $1 billion "re-imagine" renovation, a key element of which was elevating the culinary programs. Japengo in the Hyatt Regency Waikiki partnered with Jon Matsubara, a renowned chef, to create their meals -- the red dragon roll and scallop butter yaki are noted favorites.
