AT&T sees the proliferation of connected home and car technology as an emerging sweet spot for the company, according to Ralph de la Vega, president and CEO of AT&T Mobility, who pointed to the company's successful Digital Life platform and recent deals with a handful of automakers as symbols of the company's future direction. Within the next year, new vehicle models will begin leveraging AT&T's 4G Long-Term Evolution network for connectivity and M2M deals with major clients, including GE and Delta, are helping AT&T become a leader in the Internet of Things.
