India's Qubecell, the country's largest carrier billing company, is now part of the San Francisco-based mobile payments firm Boku. In announcing the purchase, Boku noted that Qubecell is working with four of India's largest mobile networks, giving Boku the potential to reach 75% of the country's mobile phone users, or roughly 550 million consumers. Boku's Jon Prideaux says the transaction will allow expansion into other markets in Asia and the Middle East.
