Japan will receive liquefied natural gas shipments from the U.S. in a few years as U.S. regulators work as fast as they can to process project applications, Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz said. Four LNG export applications to countries without free trade agreements, including Japan, have been cleared by the Department of Energy. "We know that many in Japan are extremely happy with these developments, looking forward to LNG exports to Japan," Moniz said during a lecture in Japan.
