Kinder Morgan Energy Partners and MarkWest Energy Partners have teamed up on an approximately 1,200-mile pipeline that would transport natural gas liquids from Pennsylvania's Utica Shale to Texas. "This project will provide consumers on the Gulf Coast with access to a new source of natural gas liquids from the Utica and the Marcellus shale plays. ... [T]his project is capable of accessing all of the (shale gas) processing facilities in the Northeast in a cost-effective manner," said Kinder Morgan President of NGLs Don Lindley.
