Leap Wireless on Friday reported losing 196,045 subscribers in the third quarter, an improvement compared with a year-ago loss of 268,984 subscribers, as revenues fell 10% but outpaced analysts' estimates. The prepaid carrier, which is being sold to AT&T, also improved its churn levels as turnover improved to 4% from 4.8% in the year-ago period. The carrier reported a loss of $185.4 million.
