A former member of the Florida A&M University marching band has pleaded no contest to manslaughter in the hazing death of a drum major, and he could be sentenced to nine years in prison. The man, Jessie Baskin, "is the one person who is most consistently identified as the most enthusiastic participant" in the incident, prosecutor Jeff Ashton said. Nine people have entered pleas in the case, including one other defendant who entered a manslaughter plea.
