A rooftop solar array composed of 4,620 solar panels will be installed atop an IKEA store in the Miami area, according to this article. The 178,000-square-foot array is expected to generate 1.7 million kilowatt hours of electricity a year while offsetting about 1,227 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, the retailer said. The installation is expected to become the largest solar array in South Florida, this article says.
