Mondelez has ranked Pakistan as one of the top five growth markets in the world and expects business to double within three to four years, according to Ian Buchan, general manager, new markets, Middle East and Africa. The company recently purchased Clover, the distributor of Tang which is the top brand in powdered beverages, and launched its Oreo brand through Continental Biscuits, its Pakistani joint venture. “Our strategy is to grow through brand investment and to sustain competitive advantage via investment in local manufacturing and route to market capability,” said Buchan.
