Among more than 90,000 children and teens included in the 2007 National Survey of Children's Health, 18.5% suffered allergic rhinitis, with the highest rates found among those living in the southern and southeastern regions of the U.S., researchers said. Alaska, Montana and Vermont reported the lowest rates of hay fever, according to the study presented at the annual meeting of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
