"Fundamental ratings for the telecasts will remain strong," said Adam Jones, director of the firm's Sports Advisory Services. "Live sports provide a value for advertisers to reach audiences that are not nearly as susceptible to competing on-demand consumption trends." Meanwhile, the entire sports market, which also includes sponsorships, merchandise and gate revenue, is set to rise to $67.7 billion from $53.6 billion in 2012.
