Kathy Kilmer Moak was a Dallas ninth-grader when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963. Following the tragedies of Sept. 11, 2001, Moak decided to document her high-school class of 1967 classmates' memories of the assassination for a school scrapbook. "Once I got into this, I really realized that we have unique stories that will be lost if we don't write them down," said Moak, a retired educator who took the day off from middle school to watch the president's motorcade through Dallas.
