A satellite designed and built by high-school students got a lift into space from NASA's Minotaur I rocket Tuesday night. Students at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Virginia worked with rocket-building firm Orbital Sciences to make the two-pound device that turns text messages into voice using a phonetic synthesizer. "It's just an unbelievable experience to be part of history ... doing something no one has ever done before," said student Rohan Punnoose.
