Senators Roy Blunt of Missouri and Angus King of Maine have sponsored a bill that would exempt certain foodservice establishments including pizzerias and grocery stores from pending Food and Drug Administration rules that would require chain restaurants to post calorie counts and other nutritional information. It's a companion bill to one pending in the House, which grew out of concerns that the changes required under the Affordable Care Act would prove too onerous on certain types of eateries.
