Lenovo says demand for smartphones and tablets and the implementation of cost-control measures were factors as its net profit increased 36% to about $220 million in its fiscal second quarter. The company's mobile and home products business, which includes smart TVs, now makes up 15 percent of its total revenue," Michael Kan writes.
