ASDA is using snowmen in a holiday ad touting a promotion that puts its prices 10% lower than rivals Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsbury's. The retailer says it is passing along the savings it realized by cutting 10% from its media plan this year. "We think it's more important to invest money directly into lowering the prices of all our products instead of producing costly campaigns that just keep the ad guys happy," said marketing chief Steve Smith.
