Starbucks is planning a major expansion in India, with thousands of stores envisioned in the region in the "not-too-distant" future, CEO Howard Schultz writes in an essay for a new book. After entering the Indian market in October 2012, Starbucks has just 25 stores there. "I look forward to a day in the not-too-distant future when India takes its place alongside China as one of our two largest markets outside North America," Schultz writes.
