Health-focused beverages, specifically those in niche categories, are poised for strong sales, according to Gary Hemphill, managing director of research at Beverage Marketing Corp. "In general, today's consumers want healthier refreshment. Each consumer may define healthy slightly differently, but overall products that have healthy attributes are performing better than those that don't," he said. Hemphill predicts strong growth for bottled water, ready-to-drink teas, almond milk, energy drinks and sports drinks.
