Students at some schools in Florida are getting ready for an upcoming Lego robotics competition, hosted by Brick Buddies, a nonprofit organization for science, technology, engineering and math. During the competition, students' robots will be tasked with completing 22 missions. "Just about every profession involves technology and engineering, from medicine to agriculture, computers to police work," said Bill Hamrick, technology teacher at Bayonet Point Middle School in New Port Richey, Fla. "They're learning the math, science and teamwork skills that will help them get these jobs," he said.
