Surgeons in the U.K. are using a 3D printer to help them reconstruct the shattered face of man injured in a motorbike crash. CT-scan images of the uninjured side of the patient's face allowed the doctors to create a mirror image, which will be used as a guide as they cut and reposition bones, then place titanium implants with precise accuracy. The project is part of an exhibition at the Science Museum in London.
