Store catalogs remain big drivers of holiday sales, with more than half of online shoppers saying they've looked at a catalog, while one-third have that catalog in hand when making a digital purchase, according to a Kurt Salmon survey. Eighty-six percent of respondents bought an item that they first saw in a catalog, the survey showed. Catalogs help consumers browse a range of goods instead of presenting a narrow sales funnel, said Michael Dart of Kurt Salmon.
