Verizon Communications is willing to sell some of its cache of "A" block wireless spectrum at the right price, and T-Mobile US reportedly is in discussions with the company about buying some of its unused frequencies. Verizon Chief Financial Officer Fran Shammo said at an investor conference Wednesday that, "This is not a fire sale though, so if we don't get the right offer, we'll deploy the spectrum in our own network." T-Mobile is in the market for additional spectrum to boost its network capacity, but one analyst valued such a deal at up to $3 billion. Neither T-Mobile nor Verizon is commenting on the idea of a possible deal.
