Telemedicine robots -- mobile videoconferencing machines that allow doctors and patients to see and hear one another -- are helping some doctors treat patients in remote health care facilities. The machines, manufactured by iRobot Corp. and InTouch Health, are being deployed in several hospital chains and are approved by the FDA for hospital use. "Hospitals are now using this type of technology in order to leverage the specialists that they have even better and more efficiently," said Dr. Yulun Wang, CEO of InTouch Health.
