Introduction to solid food before 4 months of age was associated with greater likelihood of having food allergies compared with later intake of solids, according to a U.K. study. Egg and cow's milk protein were the most common food allergies, and eczema and vomiting were the most frequently reported allergic reactions. Continued breast-feeding while being introduced to solid food was linked to a lower food allergy risk, researchers said.
