Wal-Mart will open stores at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving and offer a series of door buster sales at 6 p.m. and again at 8 p.m. The retailer is the latest to announce plans to get an earlier-than-ever start on the holiday shopping season, which has six fewer days this year than last. "Almost everybody is moving at least one hour up. We thought that was the best time to 'win the weekend,' " said Duncan Mac Naughton, Wal-Mart's chief merchandising and marketing officer.
