A Massachusetts-based company has created a device to stimulate nerves and help control the often burning and stabbing pain caused by diabetic peripheral neuropathy. The Sensus, controlled by a single button, is worn on the calf and delivers stimulation as long as eight to 16 hours a day, although some patients may need only one daily treatment, NeuroMetrix CEO Shai Gozani said.
