Business leaders should learn to think like marriage counselors, says therapist Donald Cole. That means handling negotiations not by focusing on who's right, but rather on what the other side is looking for, and how mutually equitable solutions can be found. "In marriage counseling, it's rarely about who's right and who's wrong," Cole says. "It's more about seeing it through the other person's eyes."
