Most retailers are using social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube in their holiday marketing, and about 38% also plan to use mobile marketing, according to the latest BDO Retail Compass Survey of CMOs. Though the survey of 100 chief marketing officers found a dip in mobile marketing from 50% last year, those retailers using mobile campaigns are increasing their marketing spend on it from 5.9% last season to 15% of their total marketing budgets this year.
